Home                                                                Why a food market?

People are turning away from supermarkets, a growing international trend. People want to connect with those who create and grow the food they want to eat.  They are also concerned about sustainability, and a wish to reduce their food miles.  Here shoppers have developed a rapport with their favourite stallholders, and are able to discuss a common interest in the food presented.

The Moggill Markets are run by an enthusiastic committee of volunteers dedicated to bringing to the Western suburbs fresh quality produce.

Brookfield is an ideal location for a Farmers Market, it was the original site of a farmers market in which began modestly in 1897.

This venture has grown from a small beginning, to a very successful market with an extensive range of food products. Buying straight from the paddock has big advantages, the vegetables you buy last until the next market and longer. Result? - spend less time shopping.

A quality Market with prices to suit every budget.

You won't find a more sociable scene than the market at Moggill, with families and friends making this their social outing. Don't take our word for it, come and see yourself.  We have created a relaxed atmosphere with over a dozen gazebos and chairs so that you can take time and shop at leisure.

Our community goal:

The Moggill Markets started in January 2009 and as a not for profit organisation the Moggill Market committee uses the funds generated from the fees to support the community.

Monthly donations are made to the 139 Club in Fortitude Valley who collect fresh produce to feed the homeless.

OTHER DONATIONS:

SES Moggill with HEMA Maps Pty Ltd. To provide a state of the art GPS system.  The SES covers an area from Ferny Hills to Moggill, and now has a trailer for the storm season.

Bellbowrie Community Church to fund a camping trip for disadvantaged children.

Biggest Morning Tea for Cancer

Moggill Girl Guides,

Pullenvale School Chaplaincy and Gifted Children’s programme.
